Computer Aided Design(CAD)

What? CAD that means computer aided design is the use of computer systems to aid in the creation, modification and analysis a design which is used by architects, engineers, drafters, artists, and others to create precision drawings, technical illustrations, design and design documentation. some of these programs are 3D Max, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Sketchup, Adobe Suite etc.

So What? In CAD lessons, we were taught how to use some of this program to draw, design, illustrate and document our ideas and creat 2D and 3D works. And these program are vectorworks, Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop, illustrator and InDesign. In every lesson new thing was taught and we were given works to do after each lesson which help me to be able to better myself on this programs. Mostly, we used vectorworks in this lessons and during that lessons we studied how to draw Plans with it in 2D and 3D, to extrude, to apply resources like Texture, colour, Furniture etc to our works and also how to setup a page for Plan designs. Also. we were taught, to use Sketchup in creating 3D object like building. Adobe Photoshop was also used in these lessons, with Photoshop we were taught to colour work made in vectorworks or with Photoshop and also how to add human figures to works.

During CAD lessons i have been introduce to architectural programs and how to use them which is an essential aspect for a interior architect. And It also helped me produce some works for my other projects in other Units. I have really enjoy these lessons because it help me our more easy and faster, so i will be happy to get more lessons on CAD.

Now What? Now with all the skill of using computer aided design program to design  work, i have to work with more of this type of programs to improve on these skill and learn new and more way of using them.
