Joseph Wallace

joeJoseph Wallace is a first class honours degree in animation, who is now a film and theatre director in London. He has created animations for film, theatre and television and his live action work ranges from fiction pieces to dance and documentary films. He is an associate artist of Twisted Theatre, Fairground and the Wardrobe Theatre.

Joseph grow up in Bristol. He started learing about doing performances about 10 years. So now he use ideas from children, develop and make drama out of it.During the talk Joseph said “to find out why you don’t like doing something by doing it”

Joseph showed some of the animation films he has done and the first film was his graduation film, made in 2007. This film was “Curiouser and curionser. He also showed  a film “The man who was afraid of falling”. This was about a old man afraid of falling from his building because it was too tell, so he move from one house to the other. Working on this movie, He started by drawing his ideas onto paper. He used materials like cardboard and other recycling material to make it.

He also talked about his time in france, to make film with some people from 2013-2014. some of this movies were Doctor’s Tale( A gothic thriller), Natural disaster and la Forét Sauvage.

The last film Joseph has done till now is Outpost, he started developing this film from last year may 2014. He like doing photoshop collage because is kind of inspirational for him. All the film showed to us during the talk, the one i find interesting was the natural disaster.
